Before joining Fitness Together I was really lazy and didn’t know much about nutrition or exercise, but thanks to the amazing trainers at FT I actually think about what I’m putting in my mouth before I eat it!  Because of the time and effort that I put into each one of my sessions and the time and effort that each trainer spent with me, I can truly say that I am in the best shape of my life!

A year after having my second and third babies (twin girls) and with my 40th birthday fast approaching I felt that I needed to make some changes in order to get my pre-baby body back.  Nothing was working.  What initially was a 3-month short-term solution has now become a lifestyle change.  Weekly commitments have yielded positive results.  A year later I’m in better shape and much healthier than I was 10 years ago.  It’s nice to have friends, family and colleagues notice and acknowledge these positive changes.   

Immediately before I started my training I was a size 8, slowly (but surely) moving to a size 10.  I didn’t feel very good and I didn’t look very good!  I was never concerned about body image, I had always been thin and never had to work at it.  In photos I began seeing myself as others saw me and was left with a very negative view of myself.  Within 5 months of training at FT Dedham, I was a size 6 moving to a size 4.  Now a year later I have maintained my weight loss and, along with my trainer, am constantly re-evaluating my goals and designing new strategies to keep me motivated.

I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes in August, 2005. What a shock!  They wanted me to go on medication, but I was determined to correct my blood sugar level naturally.  I started working out at Fitness Together 3 times per week, and changed my diet following FT’s recommended IntraFitt program.  5 months later my blood sugar was normal, with NO DRUGS!  Even my doctor was impressed.  By combining the exercise program at Fitness Together, my nutrition program and some cardio at home, I have lost 30 lbs in 6 months and everyone who knows me says I look 10 years younger – and I feel it.  Thanks FT!!

I wanted to come to Fitness Together for about 6 months before I did.  I put it off because I thought I looked terrible and wouldn’t be able to do anything.  Coming in here was the best thing I have done for myself in a long time.  The staff has been great and I have never felt awkward.  My workout has always been challenging but not more than I could handle.  My only regret is that I didn’t come in sooner.  Since coming into FT I feel great about the way I look.  I’ve lost 4 inches on my waste and the 30-minute cardio session that used to leave me winded I can now do as a warm up then workout after and still feel great.

When I came to Fitness Together in April 2006, I was in need of some serious help.  My diet and my overall fitness work ethic were at very poor levels.  I knew that I needed help with getting myself into shape and that's when I turned to Fitness Together.

The results I had with Fitness Together were nothing short of outstanding.  The trainers at Fitness Together work with you to help you realize whatever fitness goals you might have.  They will teach you proper weightlifting and nutrition and above all they will show you that getting into shape can be fun.  It didn't take very long before I was looking forward to my sessions.  The diet plan is also very easy to follow.  The combination of the diet and exercise will yield amazing results if you have the desire to succeed.  I lost 23 pounds in 12 weeks and I have never felt better.  I am in the best shape of my life and I owe it all to Fitness Together!
